Kent Strut is the local branch of the Light Aircraft Association
which is the representative body for light aviation in the UK and is
also responsible for overseeing the construction of homebuilt
aeroplanes.
The strut meets in
various locations and has members from all over Kent plus a few members
from outside the Kent area. The Strut is active on the
homebuilding and restoration front with a number of projects underway.
The Strut meets every month over the winter with talks by guest
speakers.
Aircraft construction and operation advice is on hand from members.
The Strut organises
regular fly-outs each year where members are invited to fly en-masse to
an event or airfield, sometimes within the UK and sometimes over the
chanel to a continental airfield.
A newsletter is produced regularly and sent to all members.
